The "Tribunal" is a truly international night bar, where anyone can have a good time. It is located in one of the city's most beautiful spots - the Senate building, which dates from the early 19th century. Previously it was a half-flooded basement but now it is one of the most popular places with tourists and residents alike.
The vaulted brick walls, the long bar counter, the solid tables in cosy corners, the small stage and the dance-floor in front of it all combine to create the atmosphere of a real night bar. During the day "Tribunal" is just a cosy bar where you can relax on a soft sofa, drink a cool beer or a hot coffee, or enjoy a substantial meal. In the evening it is transformed, plunging visitors into an atmosphere of gaiety and passion.
The menu consists of European cuisine. You can snack on a sandwich or a julienne, black caviar or an "Imperial" hors d'oeuvre. Hungrier guests can enjoy ukha and solyanka, "Louis d'Or" salmon with nut sauce and "Diplomat" pork. In short, there are dishes to suit every taste and a huge selection of drinks to accompany them: cognacs with a rich history, the best-known whiskies, gins and rums, aperitifs and long drinks, an impressive range of wines, rivers of beer and, of course, cocktails. In the evenings a succession of dancers perform on special table, stages, and the cabaret starts closer to midnight. The programmes change regularly, but the show is invariably worthy of the highest praise. Despite the passion and the atmosphere of freedom that reigns, the "Tribunal" shows are always in good taste and highly professional.
