The "Konyusheny Dvor" Disco-Bar was St. Petersburg 's first night club, and this little corner of the Wild West only a stone's throw from Nevsky Prospect, immediately won the devotion of visitors. And to this day Disco-Bar No. 1, to give it its official city classification, or "Konyushnya" as it is lovingly referred to by the locals, remains one of the most popular clubs in the city. The bar is designed in Wild West style: red bricks, dark wood, models of the heads of wild animals and domestic cattle, horseshoes and cowhides. The entrance is guarded by a beautiful life-size statue of a horse, from where a massive staircase leads down to the mezzanine floor, with the bar in the center of the room. You can enjoy a delicious meal at the bar, where they offer Russian and European dishes. The drinks menu is impressive, especially the selection of spirits. The cocktails here are particularly popular, many of them mixed to original recipes. In the evenings there is a barman show, which gives the young barmen the opportunity to demonstrate their artistic talents.
However, the main shows at "Konyusheny Dvor" are the "Striptease dance machine" ballet and the performances by star guests. The bar attracts a very varied public: well-to-do people and the "golden youth" of Russia 's two capitals, musicians and top models.
